Shadows and Light

Image
The sun light was shinning through the window. Since the window only allows some light to come in  the image of the windows go on the ground. With out the light it would just be a picture of a dark room, and there would be no contrast or emphasis.          This is a picture of five marbles in a spot light. The photographer most likely placed the marbles on the table and had a friend hold a flashlight while he took the photo. This picture was taken from my iPhone in the TV Broadcasting room. I had Ben shine his phone flashlight through a small tear in one of the sets backgrounds. The direction of light is clearly visible behind the tear. This picture shows the contrast since only the perimeter of the tear is lit up and the rest is dark.

The Horrors of War  were important because it changed the way people viewed photography. More and more people were starting to steer away from portraits and move on to life as it happens. The W...

Elements and Principles of Design

Image
I was given Emphasis which is a principle of design. Emphasis is the part of the design that catches the viewers attention. Usually the artist will make one area stand out by contrasting it with other areas. The area will be different in size, color, texture and shape. The picture above is an example of this because, the white color of the space around the fire alarm, makes the red of the alarms to catch the viewers attention.
