landscape and cityscape photography


  • Whats the the difference between landscape cityscape? Landscape photography is composed of natural things, while cityscape is of man made things. 
  • What is panoramic photography? Panoramic photography is when you take a picture of somethings entire surroundings. 
  • What is the golden hour? A period shortly after sunrise or before sunset when the sky has more color.
  • What is the blue hour? A period in the twilight in the morning or the evening where the sky is predominately blue.
Landscape photography tips:
1. Maximize depth of field.
2. Look for a focal point.
3. Capture movement.
4. Work with the weather.
5. Consider the sky.








I chose this photo because its pleasing to the eye. Its a calm evening where the photographer used the tree in the middle ground as a focal point which is shown by the rows of lavender that are used as leading lines. 
Cityscape photography tips:
1. Capture the whole skyline.
2. Look for leading lines.
3. Find a good vantage point.
4. Look for patterns.
5. Use the weather to your advantage. 
I chose this picture because the photographer used the pattern of the windows and fire escapes and also used the snow to give the photo a dark cold look. he also found a good vantage point because the picture was taken straight on instead of on the ground looking up.

  • I plan to take a picture of an open field the a tree in the middle.
  • My focal point will be the the tree in the middle. 
  • During the golden hour.
  • Yes, i plan to to use panorama so you get the full view of the field.
  • A slight upward angle so i get a view of the sky. 
Cityscape

  • Take a picture of down town Williamston. 
  • My focal point will be Grand River.
  • Golden hour. 
  • Clear day with partial clouds. 
  • Possibly, depending on if I can get the buildings on each side of the photo.

Where did I got to take this photo? I walked down the beach of lake Michigan in Glenn Arbor. 
What was my focal point? My focal point where the sunset meets the lake.
What time of day? In the evening at the golden hour. 
From what angle? The camera was at a straight on angle. 
What was the weather? There was heavy overcast and was snowing a little bit. 
Did you use panoramic mode? No, I did not.

Cityscape


Where did I got to take this photo? went to my friends cabin about 3 hours away in northern Michigan.
What was my focal point? The truck and cabin were my focal points. 
What time of day? Around noon 
From what angle? Straight on.
What was the weather? It was sunny with open skies. 
Did you use panoramic mode? No, I did not.

PENGUIN        In the foreground of our box, you will see a single penguin next to a group of four other penguins.  In the middle ground of our box, you will see a polar bear to the right of the group of penguins, and an airplane that is hanging from the top of the box with fishing line.  In the background of our box, you will see two hot air balloons a large group of penguins and a man riding a horse.  One thing I would change about our box would be the fore ground because I the pictures we used weren't in the best place. Our strongest area of our box is the original background and the sky because they are the things that look the best.

The First Camera was important because the art has been around since the 5th century. but didn't come alive until the 11th century when a Iraqi scientist created the camera obscura, which didn't actually take pictures, but projected an image onto another surface.
